Why I Built This
This platform was not built from theory. It was built from survival.
After years of trying to hold up my end, her end, and enduring a constant stream of tactics I had never even heard of — I found myself standing in my home in complete silence.
I didn't have my own beliefs anymore. I didn't know who I was. I found myself asking: If I don't fix things, chase things, run interference, take care of her — why am I even still waking up?
I was going around the house trying to fix everything. Clean everything. Redo it, repaint it. Every single thing she had ever complained about — I was trying to fix it. I was angry at myself for letting my life fall apart, because it must have been my fault. It had to be.
I was not myself. The personality traits I once had — they were gone. I couldn't make wise decisions. I had developed habits just to cope. No one believed anything I said. The community had turned. I was completely alone — except when the flying monkeys would come around, making sure I wasn't accomplishing anything. Borrowing things. Using your resources to keep you down just a little longer.
As the days went by, I discovered something that stopped me cold:
"No one will ever meet the man who married the narcissist again. He no longer exists. Who have I become?"
That was the moment everything changed. Not because I had answers — but because I finally understood the right question.
Don't give up.
Even if you don't think you can make it — I am telling you that you can.
I know, because I did. And I built this so you wouldn't have to do it alone.
